Cedar (he/they) was a Firbolg Oath of Devotion Paladin played by Jack. He was from Owl's Hollow, a small village in the north of the Illexi Forest. He was a Paladin of the Butterfly, the Illexi Forest god of kindness, mercy, and innocence. He travelled from home to The City seeking adventure and looking to make the world a better place. Here, he met the New Horizons party, including CH103 Cogwright, Birdie Deendroo, and Ace, while working for Zacceus Cogwright. On an expedition to an Outlands ruin, they met Kasvir, who joined the party and travelled to the City with them.
From an enthralled City Druid, Cedar acquired Withering Resolve: Bond of Avarice, a cursed sword that would slowly trick, influence, corrupt, and take control of Cedar, eventually turning him against his oaths and his god and causing him to part ways with his friends in the Elemental Shatters. Cedar left towards Leilon with Avarice, and his whereabouts have been unknown ever since, though both his body and resolve were already suffering significantly under Avarice's parasitic influence.
Cedar's oath was to the Butterfly, to protect kindness, innocence wherever he roamed.
