Proto-Type is a recently established artificer's shop in the 42nd, selling mechanical creations and magic items. It's run by Proto, a middle-aged Forged woman who trained under Zacceus Cogwright, and the shop floor is staffed by her 30 (slightly clumsy) small automatons. As an older model of Forged, Proto is difficult to repair, and so still carries many injuries from her days adventuring. Due to damages, she struggles to show clear emotion with her face or tone of voice, and can only walk short distances unaided. She built her tiny mechanical assistants to help her deal with everyday tasks, fetching components from her storerooms, stocking shelves, and helping her walk when she needs to. The little robots aren't perfect, and are more than a little clumsy, but they care for her well enough and she has a lot of affection for them (often calling them her 'children').
She sells the following items, and also offers custom mechanical builds and some magic item creation to those who ask. Her mechanical assistants are not for sale, though she can build similar automata for a price (negociated based on how complex the tasks it would need to complete are.)
