Pokemon Creation

← Back to PKMN Homepage

A Pokemon's created sheet should look a bit like a trading card (though probably a bit bigger).

Mechanically, Pokemon are made up of several pieces, a name, species, type(s), ability, moves, and traits, health, and bond.

    1. To create a Pokemon's sheet, first decide on the Pokemon you want to adapt, and write down their Species. Note down their type(s). This represents the kind of trainer you are, and how you relate to your pokemon, and how people percieve you. Pick one from this list, or create your own! This is largely just a title, and whenever you level up, you can choose to change your Trainer Class.

2.Then, pick one of its species' potential abilities, and convert it. Abilities should generally confer a passive buff (though there are exceptions, like abilities that change your form)

    3. Choose some 1-2 Moves that your pokemon learns appropriate for their level, and and convert them. Moves should have a Name, Type, Category (Physical/Special/Status), Power (Low/Medium/High), and potentially some Traits and Secondary Effects.

    4. Choose 1-2 Traits.

    4. Finally, draw an 8-segment clock for their health, and 4 boxes to be used for Bond.

Then, move on to Starter Pokemon creation!
