This is a wiki for my TTRPG setting, Labyrinth. The plan is to get down all of the easily available lore on the world, and keep track of effects characters have on it, in a way that's organised and easily accessible to me and players. I'm avoiding revealing secrets as best I can, leaving hints to mysteries here but few answers that wouldn't be widely known within the world. This wiki is still a work in progress, but I'm adding more and more pages every day, and hopefully soon it'll be good enough for players who are curious or making new characters to use as inspiration. It also makes one of my other goals with labyrinth easier: letting other people add to my world and leave their mark on it - if plpayers have ideas for locations or factions or pages, I wanna hear about it! I wanna build things together here :)
Labyrinth is a colossal city that sprawls across almost half a continent, that's entirely suffused with magic. It's divided up into many districts, each with their unique cultures, landmarks, factions, and identities. The layout of these districts is ever-changing, as walls and buildings shift magically, animated by some will of the city's own. This errant magic of the City is inherently tied to the feelings and will of its citizens - a fact most clear in the phenomena of City Gods, mortals who become so influential over people in the City that they become part of it, a local god with divine power over their domain within the walls. In many places in the city, this magic also creates districts where the barriers between planes is thinned, and planar creatures and influence flood through.
In part due to these extraplanar influences, the City is at the forefront of magical technology across the world. This amounts to growing inndustrialisation, the widespread use of firearms, and a budding airship industry. However, the most impressive magitech creation seen in the city are the Forged, the sentient magical contruct people who have begun to be created in the last 20 years.
The City also has a very high concentration of adventurers, as a result of their culture that highly values swords and sorcery. This not only causes many from the City to take up adventuring and mercenary work at some point in life but also attracts those seeking riches and glory from across the world here. In general, its reputation around the world is one of infamy, a strange place full of magic and mayhem, where the walls change around you and adventurers clash in the street. However, there's also a sense of wonder in the stories told - a place where anything can happen, where heroes are needed all the time.
Outside the walls of the City, nomadic clans roam the Outlands, a wild land of untamed hills, mountains, forests, and ruins.
There are also many different lands across the sea from Labyrinth. These countries and continents are wide and diverse, and travel and trade between them and the City is common, with people from the city leaving to find adventure across the world, and many people travelling to Labyrinth to make their mark in the world.
There are also many other planes of existance, outside the material. More information on these planes is coming soon, but for now, here's the Feywild Pantheon of Gods.
